The house is only 40 minute drive from the wonderful Meditarranean beaches of Canet, St. Cyprian or Argeles. The picturesque sea side town of Colliure is a "must". There is a lake at Vinça (5 km) where there is a beach and a choice of water sports. Should you enjoy canyoning, cycling, horse riding, or country walks, they are all within easy reach of the house. There are many fascinating towns and villages to explore, including the walled town of Villefranche which was fortified by the great military architect, Vauban; and Castelnou, a lovely stone village with a 10th century chateau. We have highlighted, and in some cases merely mentioned just some of the activites and sights. There is plenty more to be added whether it be the ski resort of Font Romeu or day trips to Carcassonne or Barcelona. In the meantime.......
